Hello from Weston Wisconsin in the USA. I am doing action research on using a website to allow teachers to access information more readily than 1:1 with some basic information as we tend to cover many schools . I have seen comments that we are alttle slow to get into this whole technology aspect (such as blogging) I myself having just strated in the last few years to work as an OT in education. Do therapists in other parts of the world create websites for teachers to access introductory level info and do you find them as useful as inservicing?

Hi. I'm just entering this blogging "world" and found you...what is it about Hosmer Elementary that intrigued you?

I used to work in that school - I was encouraged to set up a sensory integration lab in the old part of the school. At the time I was thrilled to do so (these days I'm much more in favor of working within the classrooms themselves).

Congrats on creating this!

Hi Hojojo,

I found your blog through www.wordpress.com. I also work in the field of occupational therapy. Some neat sites I've come across are www.meta-ot.com, www.kidstherapynetwork.com.au, and www. fch.com.
Your work on high complex needs sounds interesting.
Keep on blogging.

I have come to the realisation that I don't need to use this site to write thoughts if that is not my inclination. Instead, I am going to use it for posting favourite sites that I use and enjoy through my work as an Occupational Therapist, in the hope that others might find some of these things interesting and useful also.

I find it quite hard sharing my thoughts on paper. I am used to talking to myself in my head. I guess I need to have something definite to talk about like when I am writing reports at work.

HI Jo
I found you here now - we might want to move some of this information around - but well done for getting in several postings! It will be great to link in some of the paediatric OT blogs - metaot certainly touches on this area as does ABC Therapeutics. So does Hosmer School - Jackie has the link to their site from her blogroll I think!

My second attempt and i'll get the hang of this yet! It seems to me this will be great fun once I know what I"m doing and have people to chat with. not much different to talking through e-mails, really.

Hi There. I am an Occupational Therapist of may years standing learning my way in the modern field of communications. My aim is to eventually become proficient with blogging and research on the net so i can communicate with other OTs and improve my knowledge.
